My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Donatello for five nights in August. It was perfectly positioned for strolling around Florence. Close to the main sites but still in a nice quiet zone. Our room was big (high ceilings typical in Italian buildings) and, I must say, very clean. The breakfast was nice. However the pizzeria in front of the hotel was better. Best in Florence! We highly recommend staying here.

A really impressive hotel. Provides everything that you require – friendly staff, a filling breakfast, comfortable rooms and an excellent location. The station is really nearby so we found it with no problems.

Nothing bad about the hotel at all. Went there on the 6th May 2006. Good location, great staff and nice park in front of it. The market nearby was interesting. Piazzale Michel Angelo not to be missed. Stunning views - so catch the bus up there! Toured round the whole of Italy and will return. The Hotel Donatello was definitely one of the better hotels we stayed at. A good choice.
